Our Journey

    Capriotti’s opened its doors for the first time in Treskow, Pennsylvania. From the very beginning, our focus was clear—bring people closer together with exceptional cuisine and unmatched service.

    The launch of Capriotti’s Palazzo marked a turning point, offering a venue that combined elegance with celebration. It became a sought-after destination for weddings, parties, and special events.

The Capriotti’s Family Story

Our story begins in Pagliare, a charming village nestled in Abruzzo along Italy’s east coast.

Here, the Capriotti family found their love for food, community, and celebration.

At the center of it all was their only son, Nazzareno, who carried these cherished traditions with him on an incredible journey.

Seeking a better life, Nazzareno made a courageous voyage to America, eventually settling in Kelayres, Pennsylvania.

He worked tirelessly in the coal mines, alongside his wife, Nellie Vendura, building a life rooted in hard work and love.

Together, they kept their vibrant Italian heritage alive through their passion for food.

Their home became a beacon of warmth and tradition, with homegrown fruits and olives, Nellie’s legendary pasta dishes, and homemade pizzas that brought people together.

These moments instilled a legacy of food, family, and community—a legacy that lives on in every experience we create today.

Over 100 years ago, Nazzareno and Nellie began a story of resilience, family, and culinary excellence. Today, those same values inspire everything we do at Capriotti's. Each dish we prepare and every event we design embodies a celebration of life’s simple joys.
